Your journey begins in Johannesburg, where you’ll get a warm welcome and an introduction to your itinerary before heading to the “Big 5” Makalali Private Game Lodge. Here, you’ll dive into wildlife monitoring through thrilling game drives and hiking at Siyafunda Wildlife and Conservation, gaining firsthand experience in conservation efforts and observing the majestic African wildlife in their natural habitat.

Next, you’ll travel to the Fobeni Community, where you’ll have the opportunity to participate in an impactful infrastructure service project. By contributing to local development, you’ll gain a deep understanding of the community’s needs while working alongside residents to improve essential facilities. Accommodation at a local Orange Farm offers a unique cultural experience, with dorm-style living that brings you closer to the heart of the village lifestyle.

Arrive in Johannesburg
Arrive in Johannesburg, enjoy dinner and an orientation session to prepare for your exciting journey.
Day 2
Drive to Makalali Game Reserve
Head to Makalali Private Game Lodge and embark on your first wildlife monitoring experience via thrilling game drives and hiking at Siyafunda Wildlife and Conservation.
Day 3
Wildlife Monitoring at Siyafunda
Continue your wildlife monitoring adventure with more game drives and hikes, deepening your understanding of conservation efforts in the area.
Day 4
Drive to Fobeni Community
Travel to local Fobeni Community and begin your infrastructure service project.
Day 5-6
Infrastructure Service Project
Continue your community-focused work in Fobeni, where you’ll contribute to the infrastructure service project. Spend the day working alongside local residents, learning about their needs, and making a tangible impact on the community.
Day 7
Adventure Day
Enjoy the stunning nature and views, visiting Blyde River Canyon and hiking to “Gods Window”, drive back towards Johannesburg for final group dinner.
Day 8
Departure
Visit the Cradle of Mankind, where earliest human fossils have been discovered, before heading to the airport for your departure flight home.
