What To Expect

The metropolitan area of Perth in Western Australia is a hub of knowledge and expertise on sustainable energy and technology, marine engineering, and agribusiness. Its aquatic and wetland ecosystems need protection from the effects of climate change. Students will work with several local organizations to learn about conservation and sustainability, especially on the main waterway: the Swan River.

Students will challenge themselves and each other through leadership development activities and discussions, with a focus on the five practices of exemplary leadership: Model the way, inspire a shared vision, challenge the process, enable others to act, and encourage the heart. All the while, expect to interact with and observe Australia’s unique marsupials, aquatic animals, and gorgeous scenery.
