What To Expect

Northern Vietnam is home to diverse ethnic groups, friendly locals, and rich biodiversity. Cuc Phuong National Park is Vietnam’s largest and oldest nature preserve, and it is threatened by wildlife trafficking. Save Vietnam’s Wildlife (SVW) is a local organization that works on habitat protection and wild animal rehabilitation, including through community engagement and research. SVW needs our help to sustain their work and spread knowledge.

Expect to see endangered animals up close, learn their unique characteristics and what they eat, assist in feeding them and growing plants and trees to support them in the wild. On this trip, you will have some fun exploring nature in Ninh Binh and seeing the sights in Hanoi for a well-rounded understanding of Vietnam, both past, present, and future.

More Details

Day 1

Arrival

Fly into Hanoi, explore the capital city, and then drive to Ninh Binh and Cuc Phuong National Park to see wildlife up close.

Day 2

Save Vietnam’s Wildlife Centre

Spend the day with SVW, assisting in their environment enrichment activities, collecting and preparing food, and hiking in the national park.

Day 3

Social Surveys and Safari

Assist SVW in habitat rehabilitation, learn about preventing animal trafficking, conduct social surveys in the community, go on a nighttime safari.

Day 4

Ninh Binh Exploring

Drive out for a sampan ride on Hoang Long river, spelunking in caves, hike to a lookout point, and return to Cuc Phuong.

Day 5

Culture and History

Return to Hanoi for sightseeing and learning about Vietnam’s culture and history, shopping at the markets, and seeing a water puppet showv.

Day 6

Departure day

Wrap up our trip and transfer to the airport.
