Our motto is keeping it REAL. Solving REAL development challenges for communities in need of support, giving our volunteers a REAL volunteer experience based on local living conditions and culture and showing REAL measurable results with high transparency during a long term engagement with partnering volunteers and local communities.
At World Volunteer, our volunteers make a significant developmental impact. Since its inception in 2004, our volunteers have spent countless hours working hand-in-hand on sustainable community development projects. World Volunteer commits long term to the communities it serves, so the projects are measurable. Every volunteer makes and feels an impact. Of course, there is the measurable impact on the village, but there is also the personal impact our volunteers experience. Participants routinely say that their trip was a life changing experience and volunteers return filled with the satisfaction of knowing that they actively built a village and provided long term solutions to the communities they served. By connecting people, World Volunteer offers individuals the experience of global citizenship and solidarity.
People choose to volunteer for various reasons. It could be to see new cultures, make new friends or learn new skills but mostly it is to leave a lasting impact. It is every young person’s responsibility to take a positive role in contributing to lasting change. Through our service learning programs, we provide young people with self-driven, practical, global experiences. We enable them to see the world, make a real difference and discover what truly matters to them.
